The Mountain Is You by Brianna Wiest

BOOK REVIEW

Lenin once said:" There are decades when nothing happens and weeks when decades happen". He must be saying about reading some good books.

Book: The Mountain is You

Author: Brianna Wiest

Genre: Self Help

 "A journey, a transformation, a freedom and a masterpiece"

I usually don't write reviews, however this book much like a dear friend encouraged me to help others who have been mountains for so long in their own way to create a life they deeply desire and deserve.

Ask yourself:

Is your brain the greatest antagonist in your life?

Do you ever have the hunch that you're almost seeking out problems, creating issues, where they don't exist, over-reacting, overthinking, and catastrophizing?

Do you live most of the time in your head, solving the problems that don't exist?

If your answer is "yes", then you should definitely pick this book.

ABOUT BOOK:

It is a journey of transforming self-sabotage into self-mastery. A self-help book based on the emotional and mental quotient of life. To understand thinking patterns, and how thoughts generate the feelings and we get stuck on them, not knowing how to process those feelings and get better.

It is an insight to understand the ways in which we self-sabotage(want to move forward but can't),why we do it, when we do it, and how to stop doing it.

 THE AWARENESS IT GAVE ME:

1)Self-sabotage is a coping mechanism which we all certainly do. Like:

we resist when we have something to enjoy,

we only allow ourselves to some fixed amount of happiness,

we are constantly resetting: jumping from relationship to relationship, finding new friends again and again, trying to be perfect, judging others, justifying ourselves in our own mind and by downplaying.

2)We are doing all this to fulfill our unconscious desires which we aren't aware off. Self-mastery is about discerning the thoughts, feelings, unrealistic expectations, mind-patterns and past traumas by building emotional intelligence, mental clarity and releasing past through inner child work.

3)Classified into seven chapters giving awareness on subjects of mental clarity, emotional intelligence, self-sabotage, releasing past and building future.

Wanna Read!
